Hochzaeitsnuecht plot

Christian is fatherless and comes from a narrow working-class background. His mother dominates him. Catherine is the daughter of a great entrepreneur. Her father is a potentate. Both Christian and Catherine are addicted to drugs. They want to get married, which Christian's mother sees as a welcome opportunity to enrich herself (she fakes a life insurance policy in Catherine's name), while Catherine's father is powerless to stop the marriage.
