Héroïnes plot
The friends Johanna and Jeanne have lived all their lives in a small mining village. Once a year the girls play in a musical of the local drama society, and by chance Johanna's new friend Luc discovers that the girls have enormous talent. He records some songs with them, but decides that only one of them can make it. He chooses Johanna, but when she makes her first TV appearance, she notices to her great dismay that Luc has put on a tape with Jeanne's voice.
