Her Husband's Friend plot

Due to favors granted by Billy Westover during his college days, Princeton Hadley feels morally obligated following Billy's sudden death in a car accident to bear the responsibility of paying the widow's alimony to Judith as her husband's guarantor, even though the law does not require it. Shortly before his death, Billy had divorced his wife and lost his fortune. Later, Princeton meets the widow without knowing her identity and falls in love with her.
