Ha-Chaverim Shel Yana plot

Relationship comedy set in Israel during the Gulf War. Yana is a young Russian woman who followed her husband to Israel. She ends up in Tel Aviv. There she shares a flat with Eli, an Israeli who earns his living shooting weddings. In addition, Eli makes voyeuristic use of his video camera and captures private moments in people's lives. Yana's husband, however, soon runs off, leaving Yana pregnant and with a lot of money debts. While the entire population tries to protect itself from the flying scud missiles, Yana and her friends face completely different problems; how do you learn a new language, where do you find work and how do you get money? Then there is an additional problem: where do you find someone who loves you?
