Gun-ham-do plot
"1945 Hashima. We called it hell on earth."
During the Japanese occupation, about 400 Koreans, who are forced to mine labor on Hashima Island (also called Battleship Island), try to escape. Lee Kang-Ok is bandmaster at the Kyungsung Hotel. He decides to go to Japan to protect his daughter, but is sent to the mine. Choi Chil-Sung is the best fighter in Kyungsung. He causes trouble on Battleship Island, but has a warm heart for others. Park Moo-Young belongs to the Korean Independence Movement and sneaks to the mine to rescue a member of his group.
