Grown-Ups plot

Dick (Philip Davis) and Mandy (Lesley Manville) are a young working-class couple who move into a rented house in Canterbury. The average couple Butcher appears to live next to them. Ralph Butcher (Sam Kelly) is their former high school teacher and he hated Dick and Mandy, and still does. Gloria (Brenda Blethyn) is Mandy's unmarried sister, who knocks on their doorstep and doesn't want to see that they also want to be alone every now and then. The resulting emotional tensions explode.
