One day, young mother Murel has had enough of her husband Tommy's loose hands and flees from him with her seven-year-old son Kipp. On the way to California, Murel stops at her aunt Tess, who raised her and is now ready to help her. Meanwhile, Tommy has counter-attacked and has charged Murel with the police for kidnapping Kipp.
