Grace Rose Trey, 18, is a young, talented singer and aspiring songwriter of Christian songs. Together with her gifted father Johnny, she plays every Sunday at a church in a small town in Alabama. One day she decides to leave for Los Angeles. With the help of a manager and producer Frank "Mossy" Mostin, she lands a record deal. Mossy sees in her a potential superstar - the next Katie Perry. Grace cuts off contact with her parents and seems willing to renounce her Christian faith and music in order to fulfill her long-suppressed fantasy.
