Girolimoni, il Mostro di Roma plot

While fascism has promised Italy peace and order in 1927, a series of lust murders of young girls is in panic in Rome. Mussolini himself decrees that the perpetrator must be caught at all costs and the arrest of a suspect therefore receives enormous publicity. The man turns out to be innocent, but the press is banned from publishing this so as not to undermine confidence in the authorities.
