The fictional town of Freyling has been hit hard by the economic crisis in the near future. More and more volunteers have to be deployed to carry out the necessary work. Housewife and mother Julia Holmer nurses patients with dementia, but there is no recognition for this. This is a reason for her to strike. However, her willingness to take action encounters a lot of resistance, also in her private life.
