Gazelle plot
"Exile is only the beginning."
Yakup, a Turkish music teacher seeking political asylum in New York, struggles to stay afloat as he navigates the U.S. immigration system. Working illegally in a restaurant kitchen with a vibrant group of fellow immigrants, he's determined to lay the groundwork for bringing his wife and daughter abroad. Desperate to expedite the process, he seeks help from a group of shady compatriots who resort to risky methods to get people out of Turkey. But things quickly go awry, and his chances of being reunited with his loved ones diminish by the minute.
