Freedom Song plot
"A father, a son and a movement that would change America forever."
Freedom Song chronicles the efforts of the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) to eradicate racism in the segregated southern United States. The film focuses on the young Owen Walker who wants to do something about the injustice in his hometown in Mississippi. His father has renounced campaigning after previous attempts failed. Owen resents his father for this, until he realizes the true cost of demonstrating.
