The United States, early 1960s. American businessman of African descent Ernie Jones rapes 21-year-old Swedish immigrant and equal civil rights fighter Greta Mae Hansen. Jones owned the Ebony Hotel at the time of the rape, where Hansen decided to stay during her visit to Dallas, Texas. Hansen had come to Dallas to raise money for the CORE (Congress of Racial Equality). Ernie is arrested and a trial ensues. Jones and Hansen will both have to testify and they can expect very probing and personal questions.
