Fome de Amor plot

The failed painter Felipe, working as a waiter in New York, meets a rich girl with revolutionary thoughts. He asks her to go back to his native Brazil, where he owns his own island. Once there, they get married and move into the old house he grew up in. But it turns out they don't just live on the island as they expected. In Felipe's absence, the revolutionary Alfredo has come to live on the island with his wife Ulla.
