Es-Stouh plot
Five stories come together in a lower-class neighborhood, Bab el-Oued in Algiers. Located between Algiers Bay and downtown, the day takes place atop the city's rooftop terraces. A man is held and tortured until he is willing to sign a mysterious document. An uncompromising family keeps a young girl locked in a cage on their roof. An ex-cop starts an unofficial investigation with a landlord into a woman he threatened to evict from the home and who is now missing. A group of musicians get together to rehearse their latest production, until an accident occurs on a neighboring roof. A TV crew is in the wrong place at the wrong time, leaving them in an unfortunate situation.
