En Handfull Kärlek plot
Hjördis, a working-class girl, becomes a maidservant in a family of a wealthy businessman in 1909. Her fiancé is a worker in a gas factory. He is preparing a strike. The influence of the middle class environment on the girl is too great and the relationship with the boy is broken.
