El Río plot
Bolivia. Introverted 16-year-old Sebastián has to live with his father Rafael in Guayaramerín, a village in the Beni department, on the Mamore River that forms the border with Brazil. Rafael is a cattle breeder and also owns a wood processing business. The boy barely knows his father and has to adapt to his macho behavior willingly. At school he meets a girl with whom he likes to philosophize. On the bank of the Mamore she tells him about the legends and dangers of the river. But Sebastián can't take his eyes off Julieta, his father's girlfriend who lives at their house and is almost a peer of his. He soon understands that his new, seemingly paradisiacal environment hides abuse of power, lies, violence and pain, with women being the biggest victims. Sebastián begins to explore the boundaries of good and evil.
