Eien no Hito plot

Sadako is a young girl who is in love with Takashi. She is waiting for his return from the war. Heibie, the son of the richest man in the village, returns crippled and tells that Takashi is presumed dead. He himself is interested in her, but when she rejects him, he rapes her. She turns out to be pregnant and is forced to marry him.
