È Arrivata la Parigina plot

Yvette is a young French dancer who has the ambition to become famous. After 5 years in Italy, happiness has not lived up to her expectations: she lives in poverty and dances in theaters of the lowest order. One day she is invited to participate in a show in a small town where a party is held because a water source has been discovered. The show ends in disaster, forcing the dancers to leave, but Yvette decides to stay. She wants to change her life and befriends Memmo, the owner of the well. Shortly afterwards they live together, but she is often harassed by the men and hated by their jealous wives...
