Dud va Ayene plot

Arezoo returns to her native Iran after living abroad for twenty years. Not only because she wants to pick up her relationship with her mother again, but also because she has always felt like an outsider in her last residences, in order to build a new life in Iran. Unaware of the fact that this country functions in a very different way than it is used to, she has plans to set up a boarding school and help people. As she tries to adjust to an Iran long gone, her complex and complicated relationship with her mother comes to light. Her mother was once a diva, but her quality of life has plummeted in the wake of the Islamic Revolution and her husband's death, and now she spends her days smoking. The only person close to her seems to be her servant, an elderly woman. Will she eventually be able to accommodate her daughter's desire to grow closer?
