Leni Peickert is the daughter of a circus performer who died on the slopes. She wants to start her own circus to give her life a new direction. She needs money for that. Leni takes her credit, buys elephants and has to endure that her audience doesn't follow her. She failed as a free entrepreneur. Then a rich friend of hers, Gitti, dies. And suddenly she has the means to realize her circus ideas.
