Der Schwarze Freitag plot

One of the most fateful events in the history of the civilized world was on October 25, 1929, Black Friday. The global economic crisis, despair and suicide, unemployment, mass impoverishment, political radicalization and eventually World War II in its wake, started the Wall Street Crash on that day. Richard Whitney is acting chairman of the New York Stock Exchange that fall. On behalf of the major banks, the day before the Crash, he again undertook a supportive action that was able to stop the business, but unfortunately only for a little over an hour.
