Dekalog, Osiem plot

"Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour."

A Polish American scientist visits Warsaw and attends a lecture on ethics. Then she approaches Zofia, who recited the lecture. She explains that she is the little Jewish girl Zofia refused to take shelter during World War II. But Zofia has a very good reason for her so-called cowardice at the time.
