Death Flies East plot
Evelyn Vail is a nurse who has been convicted of poisoning a patient. When released on bail, Evelyn decides to fly to Sing-Sing Prison. She wants to speak to the death row inmate Carl Peters, the man who initially accused her of the poisoning. On board the plane, Evelyn is introduced to John Robinson Gordon, who is carrying documents about a revolutionary formula for ammunition for Washington. Another passenger, Baker, complains that he has been poisoned and he leaves the plane on a stopover in Dallas. Back in the air, Gordon's bodyguard, Lieutenant O'Brien, also appears to have been poisoned and he does not survive. The plane returns to Dallas, where Police Captain Barrie blames Evelyn for both poisonings.
