Das Lied der Wüste plot

In a small North African desert town, a copper mine is operated under the direction of the Swedish engineer Nic Brenten. With the prospect of building a profitable business, he plans to attract a number of international investors who will use Brenten for their selfish ends at any cost. Brenten's goal is to help people in the area to find paid work. The ruthless Englishman Sir Collins immediately tries to bribe Brenten. Brenten loses heart to Collins' stepdaughter Grace, but will he be able to resist the temptation of the large amount of money?
