Das Deutsche Kind plot

Imam in the making Cem Balta lives with his wife Sehra and daughter Hanna in Hanover. The young family enjoys life, in which both Turkish and German culture play an important role. When Sehra's best friend, single mother Natalie Unger, is killed in an accident, the Balta family is assigned to care for her six-year-old daughter Pia. The challenges that Cem and Sehra face with the arrival of the new family member turn out to be greater than expected.
