Band leader Duke thinks his young girlfriend, singer and dancer Gloria Bishop, will be ruined for him by her budding affair with saxophonist Floyd. To protect Gloria's fragile youth, Duke sends Floyd out of town. Duke can now seduce Gloria undisturbed. But unfortunately the jealous mobster Louie also turns out to be in love with Gloria.
