Czesc Tereska plot

Tereska lives with her parents and younger sister in one of the many drab apartment blocks that were built during communism. Her father drinks now and then, her mother is a bigot, who clearly prefers Tereska's sister over her. To escape this boring existence, Tereska would like to become a fashion designer. At school she meets Renata, whom she looks up to and who strongly influences her. She smokes her first cigarette, drinks her first glass of wine, has her first (nasty) sexual experiences. But she also realizes that this is not the life she dreams of. The only one who more or less understands her is Edzio, a disabled guard with whom she gets on well. She even seems happy in his company at times. But he hardly respects her friendship and sensitivity and once again Tereska feels rejected.
