Courrier Sud plot
Jacques Bernis, airmail pilot on the Casablanca-Dakar line, is on holiday in France and received an invitation from Geneviève Herlin, a childhood friend. He has always dreamed of marrying her and is now allowed to stay on her family property for a few days. But in reality, this invitation is a request for help. Herlin, Geneviève's cold and authoritarian husband, is the French ambassador to Poland and has decided - against the advice of her and his in-laws - to sell the family estate where she has always lived.
