"TAKE TIME OUT...FOR HAPPINESS!"

Nora 'Ma' Ryan, who runs a burger stand at the fair, asks daughter Loretta to bet on a horse Loretta's friend Tommy is riding. Unfortunately, she accidentally places the bet on the wrong horse. When she discovers her mistake, she tries to get the cashier to exchange the ticket for the horse she wanted, but the cashier refuses. Peter Brennan, who is in line behind her, buys the ticket for the horse Loretta wants and trades it with her. It turns out that Peter, a horse trainer himself, comes from a wealthy family that owns racehorses. He soon starts to fall for Loretta, which Tommy doesn't like at all. Necessary complications arise.
