Confession plot

When nightclub singer Vera Kowalski sees concert pianist Michael Michailow trying to kiss young Lisa, she briefly loses consciousness. Immediately after she regains consciousness, she steals a gun and kills Michael before he is outside. During the ensuing trial, she talks about her relationship with Michael and her motivations for her desperate act become increasingly clear.
