Chelovek No. 217 plot
At the beginning of World War II, the Russian peasant girl Tanya (Yelena Kuzmina) is captured by the Nazis and put to work as a slave. She is sold to a wealthy German family who methodically tear her down, both physically and mentally. Her identity is taken from her and she is called ''girl no. 217'' from that moment on.
