Cha Wu Ci Xin plot
Policewoman Wu Jie is about to take her own life when the body of a young Thai woman washes up. A severed finger and a missing heart confirm that what seemed like a tragic accident is murder, and clearly a horrific one. As the number of missing women mounts, Wu Jie pulls herself together, puts aside her demons and, along with her inexperienced colleague, delves into the pattern of gruesome clues and unreliable shreds of evidence. The realization that the killer could strike again gives the investigation the suspense of excruciating, incessantly falling drops of water.

A straightforward police drama, but very fine and carefully executed. The plot is easy to follow and not too special, but just enough to remain exciting. The film is especially good because it manages to incorporate some nice dramatic elements into the story. And the score is also compelling and varied. And if the acting is surprisingly strong (mainly of the most important characters), then you have a great film. Entertaining and definitely worth a watch.
