Carve Her Name with Pride plot

In the early years of the Second World War, Violette Bushell, the daughter of an English father and a French mother, lives in London. Voilette meets the handsome young French soldier Etienne Szabo in the park and she takes him to her house, where a party is planned. They then fall in love, get married and have a daughter. One day Violette receives a telegram that she was already afraid of. The telegram states that Etienne was killed in North Africa. Shortly afterwards, Violette is approached by the British SOE (Special Operations Executive) to join them. Should she stay and take care of her baby, or take up her duty to the country?
