Career Girls plot
"All Hannah wanted was a roommate... instead she got a best friend."
Career Girls tells, through flashbacks, the story of Hannah (Cartlidge), a brash and boisterous girl who hides her insecurity behind a big mouth, and Annie (Steadman) who is shy and introverted and is plagued by a glaring skin disease. Hannah and Annie get to know each other during their college days and develop a close friendship despite their opposing characters. After graduating, they lose sight of each other, but they meet again around their thirties. Of course they do what old friends always do: talk about the old days, when they lived in a shabby apartment together, listened to The Cure and wrestled with problems around boyfriends, parents and each other.
