Captive Hearts plot

In the snowy mountains of Japan, two American pilots are captured by a group of villagers after their plane is brought down by anti-aircraft fire. The pilots, Robert and McManus, come under the responsibility of ex-army officer Fukushima. McManus is killed trying to escape, but Robert soon realizes that the villagers aren't really enemies. At one point he even falls in love with a girl. However, the village chief has a lot of trouble with the blossoming relationship. He feels that Robert must protect his beloved from the American and Japanese military.
