Canzone Appassionata plot

Mrs. Parodi raises the orphan Lucia as a maidservant and then arranges for her to marry her brother. A newborn child makes the couple happy, but Mrs. Parodi's authoritarian meddling gradually drives Lucia out of the house. The young woman is now an easy prey for the dishonest Alberto and becomes his lover. After spending years abroad, she returns to Italy and sees her daughter again. When she realizes that Alberto is trying to seduce the girl, she will stop at nothing to stop it.
