Nice film about a busy day in a hospital when the Queen comes to visit. The humor of this satire is a bit hit and miss. A bit unbalanced and chaotic here and there, but on the other hand, enough happens and the film manages to be surprising here and there.

Whimsical comedy. Moments of beautiful, dry English humor (entrance of the queen), a few wonderfully absurd scenes (McDowell's dying moment) that are reminiscent of the best of Monty Python, but also quite a few situations that are intended to be funny and completely doesn't work and towards the end it doesn't make sense anymore. Supporting role for Hamill (Luke Skywalker), I almost didn't recognize him. Not a bad film, but it doesn't deliver what could have been there.

Chaotic scenes in a British hospital as the kitchen staff revolts, the wealthier class feels undervalued, a scientist experiments with human body parts, the Queen pays a visit, and a journalist tries to film the whole mess.
It gets off to an incredibly slow start, but the last half hour really pulls out all the stops. Highly recommended for people who enjoy British humor and Monty Python-esque scenes.
