Brick Lane plot

Nazneen Ahmed is a beautiful young woman who leaves her beloved sister and home in Bangladesh in the 1980s for an arranged marriage in London. She soon finds herself within the four walls of a small apartment, lovelessly married to middle-aged Chanu. In the meantime, her sister Hasina continues her carefree life in Bangladesh, going from one adventure to the next. Nazneen cannot accept her life and continues to wait for that one day when everything changes.
