Boy Meets Girl plot
Alex is an outsider alone in Paris. He looks at life as a spectator, studying people out of curiosity as if someone else's moments are films that you have to experience. Alex is attracted to people when he's not part of their lives, because then he won't get distracted or involved. In a secret place in his apartment he keeps track of everything (location, date, person) related to the first time - first kiss, first lie etc - as if trying to study his own evolution without getting involved in his actions or surroundings. Mireille is a woman who, like Alex, cannot stand loneliness. She does not want to die but seeks help in suicide attempts. She longs for attention from her boyfriend Bernard, but he doesn't like her.
