Bovary plot

Emma Rouault marries doctor Charles Bovary and has the highest expectations. But soon her boring life starts to pinch as hard as her corset. She reads loads of books to escape the banal reality. It's all not exciting enough for her, her husband doesn't seem to fulfill her expectations. She begins to look for more, for lovers, for extra excitement. She lives beyond her means and she spends more than she has to escape provincial life.
