Borisek - Malý Serzhant plot

In a Belarusian village, the Germans kill everyone except a little boy who is thrown into the river in a metal barrel. Fortunately, his cries are heard by soldiers of the Red Army and soldier Aljosa fishes the barrel out of the river at the risk of his own life. After his recovery, little Borisek is admitted to the medical battalion and is given the rank of youth sergeant.
