"A working-class family has transformative experiences when a secret is revealed."
Bob Goodlow is a gardener and handyman. His father Buster, who has worked in aerospace, is unemployed and suffering from a heart condition. Besides being very patriotic, he carries a secret with him. Bob's sister Stephanie also has a secret but is about to "out". Their mother Polly tries to save the family's dire financial situation by selling antique dolls on Ebay. Like almost every mother, she worries about everyone.
