Blue Night plot
On the eve of an important performance at the Birdland Jazz Club, Vivienne Carala receives heavy news from her doctor that will change her world forever. She can't deal with this during rehearsals with her band and her manager Ben and tries to avoid her bossy mother Jeanne. Finally, she shares the news with her teenage daughter and her ex, and seeks solace in the New York streets, reflecting on her past and future.
