Black & White plot

Rajan Mathur (Anil Kapoor) is a native of Chandni Chow and works as a professor at the Dr. Zakir Hussain's College, his specialization is Urdu literature. His wife Roma Mathur (Shefali Shah) is an active activist who has not been silent. Suddenly an unknown young man Numair Qazi (Anurag Sinha) who needs shelter appears and he finds it with the professor. Numair has been a victim of the Gujrat religion riots in the past and has joined a Muslim fundamentalist group. His goal is to blow himself up in complete anonymity during India's Independence Day, August 15. During his stay with the professor and associating with the residents of Chandni Chowk, the terrorist slowly begins to change his mind. He sees the harmony between the residents in the neighborhood and begins to doubt his mission. After a psychological battle with himself, he finally makes a decision.
