Bellyfruit plot

Three teenage girls struggle with growing up and responsibility when they unexpectedly become pregnant. First, there's Shanika, age 14. She has been abandoned by her drug-addicted mother and is moving from host family to host family. In search of love, she falls into the hands of an older man who only wants her for sex, with all the consequences that entails. Next, Aracely, a sixteen-year-old Latina, is evicted by her parents when they find out about her pregnancy. She moves in with her boyfriend, who is barely an adult and is able to take care of herself. And finally, there is thirteen-year-old Tina, a girl who had a teenage mother of her own. She goes from boyfriend to boyfriend and once she is pregnant she doesn't know who the father is.
