Behind the Make-Up plot

The popularity of the entertainer and clown Gardoni is on the decline and he is replaced by the friendly Hap Brown, a new clown with new ideas. The jealous Gardoni steals Brown's ideas and also seduces his girlfriend Marie. Gardoni even marries Marie. But then he meets the irresistible Kitty Parker and begins an affair with her.
