Banketten plot
Jacob Cotten is a wealthy banker of almost 60 years. He worries that none of his sons are willing or able to take over his job. One is spoiled and the other is only concerned with the communist youth club. Meanwhile, his beloved daughter Vica tries in vain to divorce her masochistic husband. In addition to her husband, she also has a lover, a young idealistic medical student.
