Avanti Popolo plot

"Solitary cinema is like that… you work with what you can."

The recently divorced André moves in with his father, who leads a secluded life in a stuffy apartment. The big absentee is André's brother, who studied in Russia in the 1970s and disappeared without a trace after his return. Super8 films shot by the brother are found by André. Fragments of the past come to life. However, the father does not want to know anything about it.
