Au Bon Beurre plot
A Parisian milkman and his wife achieve wealth and prestige during the Second World War by taking the appropriate step at the right time without political knowledge or taking a position. Such as, for example, making a German soldier a family friend and repelling them when the Allies advance, or taking in a Jewish person in hiding just before the liberation and joining the resistance.
